Production Coordinator

Bard Tales is a growing, boutique post-production facility and video production company focused on corporate and commercial video production for broadcast, corporate, and nonprofit clients. We are preparing to enter the 2022 mid-term election ad cycle, while also creating a VR video game for one client and creating SAG ULB horror content for another. To handle this growing and diverse range of projects, we are adding a production coordinator to our team to help keep our projects organized and our clients happy.

POSITION OVERVIEW

The Production Coordinator will serve in several capacities at Bard Tales. This person will work directly with the owner of the company and interface with clients daily to accomplish high priority goals throughout the lifecycle of video production. The Production Coordinator will also be tasked with helping to prepare for shoots, assisting on set, and helping to keep our post-production process organized. The ideal candidate will be a quick learner and a self-starter, eager to identify areas in our day-to-day administration that can be improved. Additionally, this person will manage Bard Tales’ social media accounts, mining for content and crafting posts each week. Some travel may be required.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Collaborate closely with internal clients and stakeholders to help facilitate the creation of multimedia content

  • Develop and manage project schedules to ensure projects are moving on time

  • Regularly track and update project statuses

  • Manage Bard Tales social media sites

  • Coordinate travel for on-site jobs as needed

  • Act as liaison with external freelancers, vendors, and suppliers: obtain quotes, traffic materials and coordinate schedules

  • Research and order/rent production supplies and gear

  • Other tasks as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Excellent computer skills (Microsoft Office suite required, Adobe photoshop a plus)

  • Strong oral and written communication skills

  • Keen attention to detail

  • Excellent time management and organizational skills

  • Bachelor’s or equivalent experience in Communications, Marketing, Film, Project Management or related field preferred

DETAILS

This position is based in Annandale, Virginia with remote opportunities available up to 90% of the time, the other 10% of the time would be on location for filming projects around the DC metro region or in our Annandale office for meetings and edit sessions with clients

  • Full time (40 hrs/week) or part time (negotiable)

  • Flexible hours

  • Pay range is $20/hour to $25/hour
